Meet our beloved animals

Welcome to our pasture family at Twisted Feathers Farm in Larkspur, Colorado. We are dedicated to caring for unique heritage breeds recognized on livestock conservation priority lists, keeping genetic diversity alive while sharing the joys of country living with visitors of all ages.

Gentle llamas and fiber friends

Meet our four llamas: Taos, Cruz, Rio, and Toby. Known for their calm demeanor and soft, high-quality fiber, these gentle giants are always eager to greet visitors. Joining them are our heritage Navajo-Churro sheep—Truth, Consequences, and Storrie—whose historic fleece and friendly nature make them pasture favorites during feeding and petting times.

Curly geese and curious fowl

Our farm takes its name from our distinctive Sebastopol geese, famous for their stunning curly feathers and quirky personalities. Alongside them, you will discover Emden geese, champion Swedish ducks, magnificent Jersey Giants, fluffy Silkies, regal Silver Phoenixes, colorful Polish chickens, and heritage turkeys roaming their spacious coops and yards.

A mini with a big personality

Our farm couldn't be complete without our charismatic miniature horse Gallup! Full of playful charm, he loves delighting guests and showing off his spunky side. Since he’s still young, don’t be surprised if you catch him bursting into a full case of the zoomies across the field!

A guardian and a sweetheart

Keeping watch over all our animals is Minnie, our devoted Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dog. While she does have a serious job on her paws, she loves meeting new people whenever possible. Eager to meet everyone in person? Check out our upcoming events page or reach out to schedule your farm visit.
